Spatial analysis is at the core of what we do and is undertaken by our spatial analysis and information management team. HiDef is able to provide a range of services to our Clients, including cartography, cloud based digital management, statistical spatial analysis – including techniques such as Kernel Density Estimation (KDE), geostatistical techniques (Kriging), and Density Surface Modelling (DSM) – and 3D integration of spatial data using techniques such as MRSea, MRSeaPower and Bayesian point processing. This gives us an excellent ability to provide our Clients with fully bespoke reporting.
We pride ourselves on our report-writing track record, which has been described by the statutory authorities as using the “best available technology and techniques”. We have excellent working relationships with leading statistical bodies, including the Centre for Research into Ecological and Environmental Modelling (CREEM) at the University of St. Andrews, and regularly collaborate with other commercial organisations to develop novel and bespoke analysis techniques.
