HiDef Aerial Surveying Limited (HiDef), the World leader in high resolution digital video aerial imagery capture and analysis, is pleased to announce that Commercial Director, Kit Hawkins, was recently elected by the Society of Biology to be a Fellow of the Society.
This award recognises Kit’s contribution to the field of biology, especially through the development of novel and high-tech environmental census, audit and analysis techniques and follows the previous granting of Chartered Biologist and Chartered Scientist status. To be granted Fellowship, an individual must be recognised as having made a prominent contribution to the advancement of the biological sciences, and gained no less than five years’ experience in a position of senior responsibility.
The Society of Biology, which has recently announced that it has been granted permission by the Sovereign to become the Royal Society of Biology, is a learned society established to advance the interests of biology in academia, industry, education, and research.
