HiDef Aerial Surveying today announced it has signed an exclusive deal with BioConsult SH GmbH & Co. KG of Germany to operate HiDef’s technology and infrastructure within Denmark and its territorial waters. The five year contract allows BioConsult SH to provide digital video surveys to German wind farm developers, government departments and academic institutes.
HiDef adopted a licencing strategy for all overseas sales in late 2013, BioConsult became the first licensee with a 5 year agreement to market HiDef aerial surveys in Germany.
Mark Robinson, HiDef Managing Director said “Georg Nehls and the BioConsult team have done a tremendous job operating in the German market having secured a significant number of framework contracts by way of competitive tender. Agreeing a new licence for Denmark was one of the easiest decisions we’ve had to make as BioConsult’s success to date has been nothing short of stunning”.
Georg Nehls, Managing Director of BioConsult SH said “Operating the technology over the last 16 months in our German territory has been invaluable, we are replicating all of HiDef’s own key performance indicators for client surveys, including bird identification rates, processing time and service costs. The experience has provided us with the confidence to extend our offering in to new territories”.
Steve Burns, Technical Director at HiDef added “We have now completed a number of territory agreements, the time and income has allowed us to accelerate a number of our R&D projects. We anticipate launching 3 additional first to market technologies over the coming 12 months, including a very low cost blade inspection system, operated remotely by wind farm owners”.
