HiDef Aerial Surveying have strengthened their position in the European market with two new German offshore contracts. New orders include consenting surveys for BioConsult as well as baseline data acquisition for the University of Kiel.
Both contracts will provide marine bird and mammal population data using HiDef’s unique extreme definition video technology. Species identification and statistical analysis will be carried out at the company’s UK headquarters in Cumbria.
Survey flights will be carried out by highly fuel efficient and low emission DA42 aircraft from Diamond Executive Aviation. By switching to the ultra-modern DA42 HiDef offers a significant reduction in noise and carbon emissions over other aerial providers.
HiDef Director David Baillie said,
“From 2014 the German state regulator will only accept environmental data from aerial surveys that have been digitally acquired. As the first provider of such services to the German offshore market we are uniquely placed to give our clients this important consenting advantage.”
