HiDef can exclusively reveal that last week, at a confidential location and for a confidential client, Dicky Patounas, a former Leader of the Royal Air Force’s (RAF) aerobatic team the Red Arrows (known as “Red One”) safely completed another HiDef survey.
Dicky, who currently works with one of HiDef’s Air Operations Partners, DEA Limited, as Director of Business Development had a highly successful career with the RAF which not only included a spell as Red One, but also saw Dicky introduce the Eurofighter Typhoon into RAF service.
Speaking about the survey, Chris Whelan, HiDef’s Flight Operations and Data Manager, commented:
“HiDef takes extreme pride in ensuring that our operations are conducted safely and using the most experienced Air Operations Partners and aircrew.
To have someone of Dicky’s calibre flying our surveys is great for our clients and our team, knowing that the work is being safely completed to the highest level by an extremely experienced and competent pilot.”
Dicky added:
“DEA enjoys working with HiDef across their portfolio, playing our part in the development of some of the World’s largest offshore wind farms and helping to provide reliable information to support the conservation of our natural environment.
HiDef’s operations are understandably different to flying fast jets, but the technology is right up there with the best that the defence sector uses!”
