Jonty is a Research and Development Engineer at HiDef, working across varied projects in the continuing expansion and advancement of HiDef’s capabilities. He gained his MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2022, developing his technical skills across differing engineering fields with a particular focus on electromechanical systems and energy production.
Jonty has experience across varying engineering disciplines having carried out design work in collaborative projects with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Peloton whilst at university. His capstone project was the design, build and testing of a small onshore wind turbine for use in rural Zanzibar which grew his interest in wind energy and the surrounding industries. Additionally due to his love for nature and the environment, he has been involved in voluntary conservation projects for The National Trust as well as taking part in Operation Wallacea, supporting academic work in biodiversity.
